This year's general admission is $200. Check out the actual web site yourself for some good burger pics. It appears that they have changed up the competition this year from popular burger joints to top chefs.
I'm trying to save up for my wedding next year so I'll be passing it up again.

my family and i are coming to Louisville this weekend to spectate on saturday and race on sunday in USGP of Cyclocross, Derbycross.
I know you love hamburgers, I love sliders, any recommendations on a downtown slider. ( I hate chain restaurants also).
Thanks.
my blog is http://cullmanat15mph.blogspot.com
take a look.
The only sliders or mini-burgers in Louisville that I recall are at Champions underneath the Marriott. They may only be for lunch though and the service there is fair at best. You might try and seek out a menu website for the area and search through there. Let me know if you find one.
As for burgers, my recommendations would be 301 Bistro (downtown) and Jack Fry's (close by in the Highlands). Proof on Main (downtown) also has a good burger, but I recall that it is made with Bison. 2 of these 3 are linkable from my site on the side and you may want to peruse them based on your dining preferences - fancy vs. bar.
The food festival looks awesome!!
